It is being claimed that Mayorkas denied repeated requests for additional security for Trump. It is understandable they killed the shooter but it would have been nice to keep him alive and get some answers.
Beyond the rally, some house Democrats had been trying to pass legislation that would have stripped Trump of his Secret Service protection. It didn't pass. They obviously want Trump dead. The goal for a while was strip him of security and throw him in prison. If the allegations about Mayorkas are true, the WH has some explaining to do.
A question does come to mind, if the government was behind an assassination attempt, would the shooter have missed? Would there have been just one?
