You are saying that ensuring folks pay the taxes they owe is a bad idea?
Perhaps if folks with a lot of earned income actually paid the taxes they owe the overall tax rate could be reduced.
(Legal Tax avoidance techniques for these folks should be enough)
The only reason why the Trump family got away with the tax evasion scheme in which they engaged was the Statute of Limitations ran out.
BTW the time Mr Trump spent as President stopped the SoL clock as he was not in jeopardy.
