I enjoy group role play, usually classroom or domestic. There have been a few times when I've seen someone looking distressed. I call the person into time out and talk with them privately about what is going on with them. Once, there person was able to return to the play session. It just took assuring her that she could safe word without being embarrassed. The other time, it was a young man. It was his first group play. So, I put him in charge of kitchen to have the buffet table ready when the playgroup was over. It worked out great. He felt included at the party and ended up having a good time.
