If someone disagrees, they are censored by grades and/or expulsion.

Lol. You are 100% wrong.... In fact most of the professors want and encourage independent thought....In fact I have NEVER met one that didn't....
However in order to converse in an academic setting the reading or media materials given are required.....If you don't do the required homework/assignments you will be picked off immediately....
If you decide NOT to do the required reading/viewing and use the excuse that it's "propaganda" then you will fail....
The key objective is to do the assignments then you can criticize afterwards.. Or you may concur with the material as well....
That's why I would give you an F if you were in my class....

For the record, probably 90% of my professors were liberals but I still did the required assignments. When it was time to argue my viewpoints I was usually well prepared..... But I never once said I am not reading or watching that Communist propaganda.....
