Thanks for posting an interesting topic. I stopped two sessions out of the many that I have had.
The first was when there was a serious and dangerous equipment malfunction. I was suspended about a foot off the floor when the entire hoist mechanism collapsed form the ceiling and landed on me as I dropped to the floor. This was at a very upscale NYC dungeon. The Domme actually screamed when it happened which of course led to the manager, a woman, rushing into the room screaming at me because she was concerned for the safety of her Domme employee. After a moment of looking at me on the floor and the suspension hoist on the floor, next to me, she realized what had happened and began apologizing. She explained to me that the hoist was supposedly rated for 500 lbs. I was and still am 6'2 and 210 pounds. The hoist had not been attached to any fixed support in the ceiling and just came crashing down on me. She offered to call me an ambulance which I obviously declined but thanked her for. She offered to have the Domme restart the session but I was no longer in the right mental place and I also declined that offer. Other than bruised shoulders and some minor pain in the back of my neck I was fine. The manager graciously gave me back the session fee I had paid and on top of that she gave me a certificate for a free session in the future. I should note that I had sessioned there several times previously with no problem and she was aware of that. I thought she handled it really well once she realized I wasn't a crazy person attacking one of her employees.
The second time I was at another well known dungeon in NYC. This was a heavier bondage session that started just fine but after about 15 minutes I suspected that the Domme was actually trying to conduct 2 sessions in different rooms at the same time. She would be with me for about 15 minutes, then disappear for 15 minutes and then reappear for another short stint with me. When she was not with me I could hear sounds of another session taking place in an adjoining room and then only silence from that room when she was with me. I did not request any abandonment play so I assumed she was in two sessions at the same time and after about an hour I told her I was good to go and to keep the other hour of tribute. Maybe i was mistaken in my assumption and or perhaps she was covering for another Domme who was a no show for a session. in any event the session had become a little boring and I was no longer mentally into it so I knew it was time to call it a day.
The vast majority of me session have been incredibly professional and enjoyable and I chalk these two not so great experiences up as outliers and just plain bad luck.
