It is a dichotomy for me when it comes to "Holding the media accountable." The left is ranting about it and have a track record of wrongfully applying censorship. The right are no saints. The only thing that comes to mind in reigning this in is regulate the companies that can advertise and the influence they have over what is broadcast. That would be one big hairy, multi layered mess. Maybe when they are proven wrong on something they pushed or censored a significant financial hit would make a difference.
