Vance's stance that people with children should "Have a louder voice" didn't sit well with me. Keep in mind, I have six children and am very much involved in my grandchildren's lives. Yet, I do not believe my vote should count any more than someone who does not have children. The cat lady remark, which have been funny if a late night talk host had said it, irked me too. Throughout the election, he has gained some of my confidence with how quick he thinks on his feet and, other than the above, was well spoken. He did very well in the interviews that I saw. I still wish the VP spot had gone to someone else but, in the scope of things, it may not matter.

If DeSantis hadn't of jumped the gun on a bid for the presidency and supported Trump, it is likely he would have been the VP pick. What I really wanted was a Trump/Kennedy Jr. ticket. Moving forward, there are going to be bumps in the road but with Musk and Kennedy Jr. on board, I am cautiously optimistic. If we take the house, even more so.

As far as picks go, DeVos, Trump's do nothing Secretary of Education, said she'd be open to returning to that position. That is cringe worthy. He's talking about getting rid of the need for that position and turning it over to the states. So, maybe that is a moot point.
