I've never heard the Trump grew up as a poor kid story. Anyone who believes that is outright stupid. It is common knowledge that he grew up in wealth. All the same, he made his own way and grew the wealth. At one point...maybe in the 80's, perhaps, the 70'....he had made some bad financial decisions and turned out to the be the come back kid. I don't blame him, at all, for donating to the campaign funds of both parties. He openly said that is what it takes to get things done as a business man. Our government is a mafia. I also don't blame him or Musk for taking advantage of government plans that are available to anyone wise enough to use them.
This being said, I couldn't bring myself to take out a PPE covid loan or even cash one of their checks. They deposited money into an account that I had paid my taxes from at point of our dysfunctional throwing money around. Aside from that, I couldn't bring myself to do partake. I feel like an idiot over that. Between the PPE and money they were throwing around, I probably left 80k unclaimed and am now paying for it in the inflation it caused. Even today, I couldn't bring myself to cash in on the demise of our country. The IRS owes me 23k that I will probably never see. I hate our government so badly. But, I do understand the people who put common sense above principal. Wish I could.
