You know more about the Skankel case than I do. So, please, correct me if I'm wrong. Wasn't the case that Kennedy helped him out in over whether his sentence should have been based on his age at the time of the crime? I'm not saying that gives me any sympathy for Skankel. Committing a violent murder of that nature, at any age, disqualifies that person from being safe to be in society...at least, in my book. I don't like that he stepped in to help. But, I remember it being a case about the letter of the law. Along those lines, I cringe when he talks highly of his Uncle Ted. I wish a reporter would ask him about that.

As far as his views of the quality of American's food and the corrupt relationship between the FDA and Monsanto, I love it. I've waited a very long time to see a person of influence point out the corruption of the FDA. I don't want the government to tell people what they can and cannot eat. But, there should be clear ingredient lists and labels for GMO's. Food companies are very tricky when it comes to hiding carcinogens and a host of other very bad things. FoodBabe.net is a great resource for specific items pertaining to processed foods and fast food. A good number of chains have eliminated harmful ingredients when she exposed them.

School lunches is an important for me. Michelle Obama took that on as her pet project and made it worse than before. They should be home cooked, yummy and healthy. They should also be free to the children in impoverished districts, along with a good breakfast. When I say a good breakfast, I mean eggs that are made on a grill in the cafeteria, homemade oatmeal and fresh fruit type breakfast. We don't need processed foods in schools. The kids would love it. Imagine one of those big machines that you feed oranges into it and it makes freshly squeezed juice. if there is one thing we can do for children in a bad situation it is feed and educate them.

While vaccinations are far from the only health related issue I care about, it is also important. People should be informed.
