If Israel has "ZERO regard for anyone living there" and they know "exactly where every Hamas leader is hiding," then they would have taken them out early and not have suffered the expense and military casualties that ensued.

Israel turned an undesirable sliver of land (without oil) into a flourishing state.
Compare that to the Arab nations that rely on oil to keep afloat.
