The classic leather outfit was important to me in my earliest sessions. Eventually I wanted to be topped by a "real" woman instead of a classic Domina caricature. My 1st experience with the girl next door attire was when the air conditioning broke in Cheyenne's building. I "graciously" volunteered that she should remain in her civilian clothes instead of a hot outfit. She looked cute in her cutoff shorts, so this was no sacrifice on my part.
Later, I came to appreciate any attire that increased power. Heels that increased height (this was always important when sessioning with Mistress Jade Tiger lol). Looking sexy and beautiful is enough to boost anyone's confidence. Of course, the classic leather look accomplished that too. I think the ritual of changing into certain attire helps the mistress to switch from normal to dominate mode.
