At the moment America has a large number of folks who want to return to the "GOOD OLD DAYS" *.

Arizona has a judge who likes the way it was in 1864. (I am not the females in his family like the fashion of 1864, especially when it is over 110F.)

The speaker of the house wants to create a Theocracy.
He fails to recall it was a theocracy that created the first Boat People.
These folks became the Plymouth Rockers when they ran out of beer.
That is why the US Constitution separates church and state.
That is, America is supposed to thrive and exist in spite of the various flavours of religious nut job.

"Change is not popular; we are creatures of habit as human beings. 'I want it to be the way it was.' But if you continue the way it was there will be no 'is.'" Robin Williams

Who is the Arizona judge you are referring to and what actions did he take for you to come to such a conclusion?

What has the Speaker of the House done to make you believe he wants a theocracy?

The settlers who arrived at Plymouth Rock ran out of beer and it affect their path? Can you expound on that? Sounds interesting.

When it comes to separation of church and state, I've always found it conflicting that while it is clearly stated in the constitution, Christianity was big part of this country's founding. Notice how all Presidents must proclaim to be Christians. It is odd. That aside, what exact conflict do you see with this today in a way that it affects people's lives?

What change do you want to see for this country?

The one that banned abortion based on a law passed in 1964.
Upon election the Speaker of the House stated that he wants a the US to be based on the BIBLE and not the US Constitution.
Beer was the only beverage that anyone on a sea journey could drink. They were headed for Jamestown but ran out beer and had nothing to drink.

It was "Christian" Protestant "Kings" actually Queens that killed Roman Catholics and vice versa.
The Puritans were a radical sect that were kicked out of The Netherlands (Holland) the most tolerant folks on earth.
One of my great grandfathers, a Puritan official of some kind, was incinerated by my first cousin Queen aka Bloody Mary.
That is why they left Britain.

The framers of the US Constitution did not want the government telling citizens what to believe.
The speaker of the house wants the US Government to be in a position to do exactly that.

A government of Mr Mike Johnson, based on the bible could eradicate non Bible Bashing Born Agains never mind everyone else.

The Quran mentions Jesus 26 times and Mohamed only 3 times.

Saint Mary of Magdala was Princess of the Benjamite Tribe. Her father, Cyrus, was King. (One of the 12 tribes of Israel. Two of the known tribes of Isreal)
She clearly funded the Jesus ministry. The boys that decided what the bible message called her a whore because that fit the narrative they wanted to spin.
I am one of many that are related to Karl, Rex Francorum aka Charlemagne. Saint Mary of Magdala is one of HIS ancestors.

Who was the husband of Saint Mary of Magdala? Do you think he would have been happy that his wife was branded a prostitute?

The BBBA state that the bible has been proven to be historically accurate.

"History is bunk" Henry Ford.
History is only someones interpretation of the facts, if there are any.

I have a friend who is a military historian.

I know things about the RAF during WWII that he does not know.
I learned then from my mother. He never spoke with my mother.

Both of my parents were in London at RAF HQ.
They made sure that the RAF ran the air war "On Time & On Budget"

Interesting conversation. Let's start with your assertion that Speaker Mike Johnson wants "The US based on the Bible and not the constitution." Here is what I found, from a liberal source, that directly quotes him:

What you are saying appears to not only be taken out of context but twisted to the opposite. What do you have to say about that? Then, we'll move on to Abbott.

I did not maintain source. Generally speaking folks in similar boards dislike folks that provide source information.
I have put myself deep dung // Dutch with the Greeks for providing a reference URL.

I stand corrected.

It is easy for the general public to be mislead by the media. I've caught them in some whoppers, including most of the "News" outlets running with an unvetted Dr. Phil story, that turned out to be false.

Now, on to Abbott...I appreciate his vigor in border security. But, as someone who is very much pro life, I do not appreciate him setting back the cause in which he supposedly supports. His sweeping stance is ignorant and careless. There is extremity on both sides of this issue. It comes from a desire to keep voters polarized and gin up election possibilities instead of providing common compromises and putting the issue to rest. Interestingly enough, abortion was not a partisan issue until the politicians realized it could be after Roe v Wade. Let's discuss this and move on to Mary Magdala.

It was reported that Mr. Johnson, when first elected Speaker of the House, stated that he wanted the United States of America to use the bible and not the US Constitution as its basis.

I defer to Mr George Carlin on matters of the bible.

If elected in order to be President, Mr Trump will have to swear an oath to uphold the US Constitution moments before he plans to trash it.

It is a view of some folks that the Pro-Democracy movement is anti-Trump.

That is Election and Democracy are mutually exclusive in the same sentence.

Are we seeing a trend here?

Did you read Johnson's direct words, in entirety? What he said is the opposite of how the media is spinning it.

George Carlin was an amazingly funny man. I read both of his books, including his brutally honest autobiography. As insightful and entertaining as he was on some subjects, he's hardly a source of information to take to heart. What exact words of his are you referring to?

What did Trump do in his 4 years of Presidency do find you find unconstitutional or anti democracy?

The trend I see is the new breed of Democrats striking out to be boldly anti democracy and unconstitutional. They do this while accusing Trump of what they have set out to do. Please answer my questions, address my response on Abbott and I will answer any and all questions that you have. Please try to use facts and not just opinions or media spin. I'd appreciate it. :-)

Johnson is showing signs of being a RINO. I'd like to see the swamp creature out. That doesn't change that what you are saying isn't accurate. You should take a good look at the websites that are publishing this. They are lying to you.
