This is a conversation that has been had a few times over the years. How do you feel about it? It is something that I have only been asked once for. As much as I like the man, personally, I couldn't do it. A visiting dom eventually gave him the session he had been craving. They both had a blast. I felt about it at the time because who am I to tell a black man that race play hurts my feelings? In retrospect, I could have put a spin on it that objectified him but didn't disparage. Something along the lines of, "Look at that black cock. You don't know that we all notice it is hard every time you are around a white woman? I'm going to punish that cock...." ect. It wouldn't have been so much different than other types of role play, actually less disparaging than small cock humiliation or the humiliation that cucks are subjected to.

This came to mind because a friend of mine, a white male switch, was very interested in dating a black woman he had met at a fetish party. As it turned out, as much as he liked her, she was into being the sub in race play and he couldn't do it. He and I were kicking around ways to approach it without demeaning the sub any more than we would in any other session.

It will be interesting to hear other's views on this subject. Could you do it if you really liked your potential play partner and it is what they wanted?

I've never been asked. But, I would probably agree, as long as it was turning the sub on.

Not my thing. Reminds me of pics from Mistress sites that offer quasi-Nazi or religious role play. I try to avoid real life in sessions. The only thing that was close was roleplay sessions I've mentioned with a late 20-something Mistress when I was 40-something, and just based on chemistry we switched roles in the middle of sessions, with her being dominant at the end.

I’ll add that she was / is African American and the switching could have been due to the age difference, maybe more than race.

Interesting question!

Race play is something that I would never ask for in a session. The awful history of slavery and its terrible impact on those who experienced it would completely prevent me from getting into subspace. I am fine, hell I am even turned on by some degrading language and objectification in a session. Being called a slut or whore or any language along those lines makes for a hotter session for me, but even that isn't necessarily something I would request in a session. When it happens by surprise it is even more exciting.

The death and horror associated with slavery, or as JB noted in his post regarding the use of Nazi symbols is just too real for me to ever want to see it in a session.

But! I do realize and accept that others might have an opposite opinion and I can totally respect that, even if I don't understand it.

Interestingly enough, an African American dom on DominaMs.com said that she doesn't take offense and often engages in race play with her white subs. I'm long retired now still wrestle with my firm no policy on it. Was it selfish? I guess it doesn't matter because no one would want to session with a dom who is clearly uncomfortable with the core of the session. But, good for you and your light of heart, let's all have fun approach.

Over the years, we probably all got used to seeing prodom dressed like latex nazis. I'd very seriously doubt it was ever with the intention to promote anti semitism. But, it always did ring uncomfortable. I do like the military look and the Russian furry hats in wardrobe on occasion. ClubDom has done some really hot shoots with our own FemDom Militia.

I'm naturally inclined to feel the same way. But, then consider the bondage equipment that is commonly used. Much of it is based on medieval torture equipment. The original designs, such as the Scavengers Daughter and St. Catherine's wheel where used not only to torture people but to kill them in a cruel and prolonged way. People can be sick puppies. All of this heavy talk leaves me thinking about implements on a lighter note. Who invented the strap on and what inspired them? The dildo was invented by a gynecologist. He treated when with "Hysteria" disorders with it. His patients came in on a regular basis and happily so. How funny is that?

Cheyenne,

The gynecologist who invented the dildo to "calm" hysterical woman was a brilliant businessman and no doubt much loved by his customers.

Whoever invented the strap on was a GENIUS and imho doing God's work for mankind. emphasis on the man in mankind~!!

Under the right circumstances, I could see it. I've played an alien treating a human like livestock. What would the difference really be as long as it was asked for?
