I don't care who someone sleeps with or how they live their lives, but The Olympics using drag queens to mock Jesus is messed up. If that was Allah, there would be mass terrorist attacks. Making fun of the Quran could get you thrown in jail for hate speech in liberal cities. MAGA all the way.

Years ago this topic came up when a gay group used the Last Meal format to promote an event.
When I commented on its inappropriateness, the response was something like "It shows how inclusive we are-- all colors, all genders."
The mockery was ignored.

"Mocking Jesus"

This was predicted in biblical prophecies.....It's also the sign of the end...Not to mention the collapse of society....(Sodom and Gomorrah come to mind, along with ancient Rome)

Btw,

They are burning churches everywhere including two big churches in Texas the past few days....Not to mention the Slaughter of Jews (another attack today where kids were slaughtered in Israel at a soccer event) and the Slaughter of Christians in many countries....Especially China...

I won't be watching one second of the Olympics, in fact I hope our basketball and especially Women's soccer team loses......Can you imagine this scumbag American Hating LeBron James carrying the flag....

So very true. If they would have been doing that to Islam they would have been labelled racist and worse but for some reason you can do this to Christianity and most people don’t care. It was an inappropriate setting for something like that.

Stunts like this are causing a fracture in the alternative lifestyle and kink community. Mainstream people have a tendency to think of us as a monolith, which is unfortunate. We don't want to be mocked for what our way of life. It is harmful for us to be represented as people who mock other demographics. We were all doing fine before the DEI movement. Even having grown up in Catholic School and church, I would never mock the religion. I have some bitter feelings about it but to mock a faith that people hold dear? We should all be better than that.

I'm not hugely religious (more of a Christmas and Easter Anglican ) and I have no problem with what 2 consenting adults do in private. Having said that I found much of the opening to be overly sexualized and in poor taste.

The organization behind the ad came out and said they accomplished their goal in delivering a message of tolerance. Taunting an entire demographic is not tolerance. Christian intolerance has been light years ahead of what they were for decades. There are deep pockets buying politicians and media to fuel this.

Also, I agree that if they were to mock Islam on a worldwide stage, right down to Allah himself, this wouldn't go well for anyone.

It is unfortunate that the Olympics opened the games with a divisive ceremony, rather than one focused on sports, which unifies people. The Olympics should be about getting athletic competition, and giving the world's best athletes a chance to have the spotlight, not political agendas.
