We bought quite a few Items from Caniac in the past. They offered a vast of canes, straps, paddles and other impact implements in leather, rubber, wood and synthetics. Their site went on for page after page of listings.... Quality was decent and pricing was quite low by BDSM toy standards. While their stuff wasn't at the top end of the market like London Tanners neither were their products priced their either. I found them a good compromise on quality and price.....and I can attest some of the items they rated "very severe" were exactly that!

Unfortunately they shut down several years ago. I'm wondering who people here use as their "go to" for this type of gear. Have any other suppliers sprung up with the same large selection, variety and attractive pricing?

A surprising source is Etsy. You need to be careful of buying from people who make their own products instead of people who buy in bulk and set up stores. But, I've had nothing but great experiences receiving thoughtfully made implements from small suppliers, probably working from their homes. Local fetish conventions that have vendor areas have also been superior to more commercialized businesses.

Yes, I've seen some interesting stuff on Etsy although I agree that you need to be selective........Ebay can be a good source too. Years ago we got a vintage Lochgelly Tawse on Ebay. Much like this one.....https://www.ebay.ca/itm/355497687964?itmmeta=01HQT67Q65AX0T2E9S5QRE93AD&hash=item52c5503b9c:g:CKgAAOSwtmFl3iVk&itmprp=enc%3AAQAIAAAAwI1oMXoExA40fTXcxUtZ%2B91gh%2FbxSIPpf88UbWbhjicBKrOqOuwPVzhl7eOacVZ2cXrmZQTUxLYLdCJeoNK2P2Xt8IdniwRKSXrRQLXwRvr8tdWrtTt0l%2FVmrmCMaCu6vkJH9PuMjg39%2B6jWPXFdo1KYWmiATQZ84GhX3bpzYsgdn4MrbpqhREJHBJXj7SRkHuqEti8dhzDUT08vL95phTC%2BYIMvcpx7oZ75H95QgYu4Tn3tzznZfPEjtYf2TosD5Q%3D%3D%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR5Lznsa-Yw

It's a fearsome implement when swung with some force. The leather is incredibly hard and dense.

I recall there was an active NYC Domme on MF named Mistress Wynter who was something of a tawse aficionado/.specialist. Her reviews often mentioned her fondness for these implements and she would often add comments when the topic came up.

In the topic over on dominams the hang someone suggested these people from Long Island. I've seen their site before now that I think of it but have no experience with their products. Seems to be hand made by them and looks like good stuff.

I'd like to have resources for this too. My fiance and I have found a few nice things on line. A lot of it is disappointing.

I agree with the census here. Homemade toys, made with skill, is the best. In the lifestyle fetish circles I hang with, there is everything from hand braided single tails, chain mail, paddles, cbt galore, strap on harnesses, hand crafted leather restraints, You name it. Come to think of it, I've never seen handcrafted nipple clamps.

I did get some specialty items on Etsy too (but not for CP). For CP some items can be found at Extreme Restraints. OWK can make some nice whips. I had a hell of a time looking for a monkey fist but eventually found it.

This organization recently came to my attention. They did Alexandria Snow's custom dungeon furniture. They look to have high quality implements. When choosing a flogger, I always look for the weight in the handle and generosity of the strands. It all looks great. If Snow endorses them, they must be good.

The thought of a female couple building dungeon equipment is hot. I'll be distracted today.
