I have no way to know what Trump's plan is.
I have seen him overcome numerous challenges in his first term and he got remarkable results.
It looks like he will he will try to exceed his accomplishments in the second term.
If he can persuade Musk and others to change their position on issues that they have profited from in the past, it's a bonus.

He got hammered from all directions during his first term.

Remember he had both the house and Senate when he first took office. Both Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell screwed him from all angles...He highly endorsed Both of them.

Then he got screwed with his first AG pick Jeff Sessions when he recused himself from everything..

His Second AG Bill Barr screwed him when he wouldn't investigate voter fraud.

His FBI Directors screwed him. So did two of his Supreme Court picks...

Now he gave a full endorsement to Mike Johnson when every MAGA person in the country wants Johnson to hang practically..

What is this persuading Musk Crap? Who the Hell is Musk that Trump should have to persuade him? (or get his permission to stop his views)

I will tell you who Musk is (and this hero worship for this guy needs to stop)

Musk is some guy from South Africa (the most racist country on earth btw) who came to America on a student visa, quit college and created two companies funded completely by taxpayers. (Telsa and Space X)

Then instead of Hiring Americans (he fires them) and hires thousands of Foreign workers using this H-1B scam program. It's modern day slave labor. It's a corrupt racket.

All of this runs in the exact opposite direction of the MAGA philosophy which is "hire Americans"....Then what does Trump do the next day...He comes out and supports Elon Musk and the H-1B Visa program.. Says he uses it himself and it's a wonderful program blah, blah, blah..

On top of this and going back to Musk.. I personally believe he committed stock fraud. He was sued for this but some idiot judge decided there was no merit. But he is a crook and knows it...

So now all of a sudden we have to bow down before this POS?

Here is what really happened...Trump was bought off by Musk period. In the process Trump screwed his entire base. Trump will do anything for money.. Musk donated a couple hundred million.

But just wait because it will get worse...

BTW,

Do you really think Trump is gonna be able to remove all these illegals? (This was my main policy point) They (the Democrats) are going to be putting up legal roadblocks all over the place...

It's NOT a coincidence that Biden and Schumer pushed all these Federal judges in. Governors, Mayor's and AGs are going to be suing Trump left and right. These judges will put an immediate stop to any of Trumps plans..

Just like they did with the border wall during his first term. Trump didn't start building it until year 3 because of all the court stops...

How many others were there who screwed Trump after he got them elected?

Lindsay Graham, McCarthy dozens of others too. The list is so long that I have lost count...

Now we are supposed to Trust Trumps judgement all of a sudden...Trump either personally selected/endorsed and campaigned for all of the above mentioned...

I am not trying to be pessimistic but I am being realistic.

I see what he is doing, his behavior, his new celebrity cabinet picks and I dont like what I see.. Trump has a long history of screwing people.

Why does Musk have a factory in China and has also recently announced the building of a second large factory in China for Tesla...

How is this MAGA? Why would Trump be associated with someone who is the EXACT opposite of what Trump supposedly believes in...

Trump has been telling (lying) to his base for years that we need to build everything here.. And his new best friend is building everything in China and firing Americans at his plants here...

I'm not certain if you are being serious. It wasn't a credible claim. Trump's behavior pattern toward women is that he likes attractive women. His approach is to shower them with money and gifts.

I was being sarcastic about Ted and the Jane Doe story..

“ Along with importing foreign tech, this country needs to wake the hell up and reform the education system. Reforming the visa bill will be meaningless without it.”

This is obvious and I agree with it but I think it’s more than the education system. This is oversimplification but America has become soft and dumb. The whole American ideal of work hard and get ahead has been degrading over time. We want to have an easy life and have fun. It just seems standards are lower and we have less people able and willing to put in the hard work that a reformed education system would demand.
