I see your point that anyone who murders someone in cold blood is impaired. It is difficult to tell from a single photo but who is elated before they walk across the street to execute someone? I see a lot of different people in various situations on my job. I got an odd read from the glance at Starbucks. Could it be a case where someone of power found a mentally unstable man to pull off a hit so that it didn't look like a trained killer?
The questions you raise bring about suspicion on who was really behind this. Conspiracy theorist believe powerful people or organizations set up unbalanced people for hit jobs so that it looks like a random mentally compromised person. If the shooter ends up dead before he can be questioned it will heighten that theory.
