"Israel turned an undesirable sliver of land (without oil) into a flourishing state"
Correction: They kicked the people who were already on that land off that land by force...Including burning them out of their homes...
Your "correction" doesn't even address the comment you quoted.
Also, your "correction" ignores the persecution of Jews. Consider this account:
Jews in Arab countries suffered unbearable discrimination. Why do our stories remain untold?FTA:
I am just one of 850,000 Jewish refugees from Arab countries and Iran who left, fled or were expelled from the countries where they had lived, in many cases, since the Babylonian period.
[...snip...]
Jews were forced out of Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, Iraq, Yemen, Turkey, Lebanon, Syria and later Iran. They left behind their property and belongings, carrying only necessities as they escaped to safety. Entire Jewish communities were wiped out, and centuries of religious customs, traditions, culture and music vanished from the Middle East and North Africa.
Re: Israel's "flourishing state"
Here are the facts:...
It would be great if you would provide links to the points you make.
As to my "flourishing state" comment, I offer this assessment from
Wikipedia:
FTA:
Israel's standard of living is significantly higher than all of the other countries in the region and equal to Western European countries...
Re: My "criticism of the source"
Well I have seen the videos and pictures of hundreds of dead Palestinian children caused by Israeli bombs.. Videos don't lie.
That is naive.
Videos offer an effective means to project slanted coverage and outright falsehoods.
They are effective because the message is easily edited, staged, or cropped and the viewer doesn't have the opportunity to evaluate the content.
With the written word, one has the opportunity to question the message.
"If Israel knew exactly where Hamas was hiding then they wouldn't have suffered the expense and military casualties"
Sure they would have.... That is right, I am suggesting that Israel doesn't give a shit about their own soldiers either.
No, they would not have. They would have eliminated all the Hamas quickly.
As to you comment that Israel doesn't care about it's soldiers, you are just ranting bile.
